Perry Family Loses Home to Fire

A family in Perry with six children has lost their home to a fire that took place on Friday, September 7th. Firefighters from the Perry Fire Department, Eastport, Pleasant Point, Charlotte and Robbinston combatted the blaze but were unable to quell it in time. 

Donations for the Bulmer family are currently being organized and accepted by Jana Sutherland. She shares that they are in need of gift cards to EBS/Hammond Lumber to assist in rebuilding, donations of rebuilding supplies, dog and cat food, gas cards and gift cards to local stores. Donations can be dropped off at the Pembroke Irving, Johnson’s in Pembroke and the Strawberry Patch. Sutherland can be contacted on Facebook for additional donation information.


A benefit supper and Chinese raffle will be held on September 29th at the Perry Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The dinner will be served at 5 p.m. To donate for the raffle, contact Angela McPhail at 853-5066, or drop items off at Perry Elementary School.
