Baileyville Police Department Considering Youth Program

Baileyville Police Chief Bob Fitzsimmons has put the call out to gauge interest for a "Police Explorers Program" that would be geared towards participants of the ages of 14-20 that are potentially interested in a career in law enforcement. Area parents are encouraged to discuss the program with their adolescents and young adults are invited to contact Chief Fitzsimmons or the Baileyville Police Department directly to express interest. He also invites other agencies in the county that would like to join forces in organizing the program to contact him. "If we can't get new officers to come here I know [darn] well we can grow them from the young men and women we have right here," Fitzsimmons comments.
