On Wednesday, the Princeton Library Committee held their monthly meeting. All were happy to be making progress on the remaining building renovations with the removal of the old cement ramp. The committee discussed possibilities of winter activities for the library such as computer courses, ancestry, quilting, and wreath making. If anyone has ideas let Heidi know.

Thursday was the Friends of Princeton meeting at the Princeton Town Office Conference Room. Attending were Sharon Norman, Sue Storey, Doreen Wallace and myself. The primary topic was, can we keep the group going. Our activities have been successful but it is hard to sustain them with just a few members. At this point we will continue but have to cut back on some of the projects. The Treats on Wheels has become very popular and we will continue to promote this event, which is coming up soon. Last year we had over 100 trick or treaters and many town organizations and individuals set up their cars/trucks/trailers (many decorated) to give out treats. Also Friends will continue to do the tree lighting but not the home decorating contest. If some other group would like to do it, let Sharon or me know. Our next meeting is Thursday, November 9.

Saturday was the Princeton Library Book and Bake Sale from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Committee members Doreen Wallace, Denise Hill, and I made lots of baked goods and worked at the sale. Other bakers included Heidi the librarian, Beulah Lane, and the Edgell family. We thank everyone for their help and support.

Good news is that members of the cribbage group are working toward setting up dates for the fall/winter season. They will let me know when plans are in place.
