David Allan Coe Concert at the Springfield Fairgrounds

Saturday evening, July 15, 2017, promises to be a memorable night in Springfield, Maine. Many of our readers now know that legendary country music singer and songwriter, David Allan Coe, will be performing live at the Springfield Fairgrounds, located at 91 Park Street in Springfield, Maine.

David Allan Coe has written multiple hit songs performed by a variety of country music’s biggest artists. This gifted song writer is also a huge performing star himself. With hits like “The Ride”, “You Never Even Called Me By My Name”, “Will You Lay With Me In a Field of Stone.”, “Take This Job and Shove It”, among dozens of others. David Allan Coe is one of country’s biggest stars to ever perform in Northern Maine.

His peers include Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck to name just a few. Moving into the twilight of his career he has graciously agreed to come to the 167 year old Springfield Fairgrounds to perform some of his favorite songs – for you.

On July 15th, the gates will open at 5:00 pm. Free parking and free camping is being offered in the parking field adjacent to the fairgrounds. For those fans, some of whom are coming from across the United States, who wish to spend the night and/or have a cold beer, we do not want you driving. Stay with us – no charge. There is no electrical, sewer or water available for camping hookups. There will be portable toilets available. Parking on the fairgrounds itself will be $5 per car and $2 per motorcycle.

No coolers or alcohol will be allowed on site. Please leave it in the parking field. No weapons or animals are allowed either in the field or on site. Beer will be sold during the concert. No reserved seating. The grandstand and bleachers will accommodate about 1000 people Feel free to bring folding chairs and ponchos. There will be plenty of standing room also for those not wanting to sit.

The evening promises three hours of incredible music. In addition to our iconic headliner, we are absolutely thrilled to have two unbelievably talented local opening performers. Taking the stage at 6:00 pm will be “Ted and The Boys” from the Linneus & Greater Houlton area. And at 7:00 pm local star Travis James Humphrey will command your attention followed by country music legend and outlaw David Allan Coe at 8:30 pm.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased now. For anyone wanting to buy online you can go to www.thespringfieldfair.com and purchase through our paypal account. For folks buying their tickets online you will have a chance to have your name drawn randomly for the opportunity to be one of ten to win a meet & greet pass to shake hands with David Allan Coe. Each winner can bring one guest with them. Also, for online purchasers, there will be five names drawn to win tickets to another huge country concert during the Springfield Fair. Five winners and their guests will gain entrance to our show set for Sunday evening, Sept. 3, 2017. We will announce the performers name on June 1st. Plus online purchasers will get a meal coupon for $8 ($4 off) for a burger, large fry and soda. There will be no ticket refunds. If, for any reason, the concert is cancelled these tickets will allow the fans to attend our Sept. 3, 2017 concert.
