AES is looking for parent volunteers to help with the concessions.  This is one of only two fundraisers we do for sports, so all parental help is extremely needed.  If you are able to help with this please call the school at 454-2623 to sign up.

AES is now selling T-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies.  There is only a limited supply of hoodies due to costs.  Youth t-shirts are $10.00 and Adult s-xl $12.00, 2x $14.00, and 3x $15.00.  Crewneck is $20.00 and there are youth s-l and adult s-xl at that price.  The 2x are $22.00 and 3x $24.00.  Again the larger sizes are limited.  Hoodies are $25.00 and are extremely limited in sizes.

It is Winter Carnival time.  Just a reminder that the team not class with the most participation gets a pizza party.   Students are broken up into four teams instead of classes this year.  We have themed days:  Thursday is School Spirit Day!  School colors are black and gold/yellow and Friday will crazy hair day!

During Winter Carnival week AES will be collecting food items for the local food pantry and we are giving teams points with the most weight.  Some things the food pantry can use are:  canned soups, mac and cheese, canned veggies, fruit cups, lunch snacks, cereal, etc.  There will also be a fundraiser this week, which all proceeds will go to support our local Relay for Life Team.  You can purchase duct tape by a yard for $0.25 each.  On Friday we will be duct taping the principal to the wall!    Grades 2 and 3 will have their Valentine’s Day party on Thursday due to Winter Carnival.

Don’t forget that there will be no school the week of February 15th as it is the annual February school vacation week.

No basketball games are scheduled until after vacation, but then there will be two games that week.  February 22nd Charlotte will be in Alexander and on the 23rd Alexander will travel to Perry.  Girls’ games starts at 5:30 and the boys’ games are immediately after at about 6:30 p.m.

The Alexander PTG and the 8th grade class are selling Money Calendars for the month of April.  Calendars are $10.00 each and your name stays in for the entire month.

Don’t forget to check out their school website for any information you may need at

Don’t forget that Mrs. Hill’s class is looking for buttons and legos.  You can leave these items at the AES office during school hours or drop them off at Randy’s Variety.

AES continues to collect Box Tops for Education and Campbell soup labels which in turn is used for extras for the students.  AES also recycles empty ink cartridges and old cell phones.  Items may be left at AES during school hours or at Randy’s Variety.
