Contestants Sought for International Homecoming Festival Pageants

The search is on for little boys and girls ages one to four, and young ladies ages 4 to adult women to compete in a fundraising pageant to benefit the International Homecoming Festival. Contestants from Maine and New Brunswick are invited to join these fun and exciting pageants. 

Wee Miss and Mister International Homecoming Festival, ages 1 and 2,  and Tiny Miss and Mister International Homecoming Pageant, ages 3 and 4 will be held on July 18th at 11 am at Calais High School. The boys and girls will need only one outfit of their choice. The Registration Fee is only $15, and pre-registration is requested.

The Miss International Homecoming Pageant for girls ages 4 and up will also take place on July 18th at Calais High School. Interviews with the judges begin in the afternoon, and the pageant starts at 6 o'clock. Contestants will be judged on their interview, on-stage modeling with self introduction, and formal wear. The Registration Fee is only $35, and applications must be received by July 3rd.

The International Homecoming Queens have fun reigning over and getting involved in many of the International Homecoming Festival events. Each year they are a huge asset to the festival committee in fundraising activities and volunteering at events. For the past three years, the pageant has been a "platinum sponsor", donating $500 each year.

Benefits of entering the pageant include building inner confidence, creating lasting friendships, showcasing talents and abilities, and strengthening character.  The high standards and exciting opportunities offered by the International Homecoming Pageant attract the highest caliber of talented girls and women from across Maine and New Brunswick. There is no talent competition, and no pageant experience is required.There will be plenty of help on pageant day for those who are new to pageants. 

Four pageant queen titles will be awarded:  La Petite for ages 4 to 7, Pre Teen for ages 8 to 12, Teen Miss for ages 13 to 18 (still in high school), and Ms. for ages 18 and older.  Ms. contestants may be single, married, have been married, or have children.  A queen in optional photogenic for each age division will also be crowned, along with an overall Miss Hospitality Queen.
