November 22 is the new moon. 

November 16th there is a potluck and social dinner at 6:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Members and guests are invited. The installation of officers will take place.

The Calais Hospital Auxiliary is selling tickets on their yearly Thanksgiving Basket full of food and also a 50/50 drawing. Stop by the coffee shop and check it out. All members remember what you are signed up for please and have it in by Monday, November 24th at the latest. Thank you for being part of the celebration.

I dropped by the UM Church in Baileyville for their annual fall sale on Saturday. There were tables of new and used items, variety of fudge, sale of biscuits and free coffee, sandwiches, dynamites. The Christmas spirit for sure.

Will keep you updated on St. Anne’s Cookie Sale in December. So many varieties to pick from. Can’t wait to taste! Will be whoopie pies and fudge.

Don’t forget the Christmas Fair at Perry Elementary School on Saturday, November 15th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Duncan McGeachy suffered a stroke a few weeks ago and at last report was still in the St. John Hospital during therapy. He is hoping to get transferred to St. Stephen soon.

I apologize for forgetting some birthdays mixed up on the dates but you have people off the street telling you this one and that one are celebrating a wrong month and day. So sorry.

Didn’t want to waste a good sunny day on Saturday so I drove to St. George. The Guardian Drug was having a sale. There were line ups on both sides of the store. Some great bargains. I thought I’d drop in the Dollar Store. It is so filled with Christmas items. I dropped by the cemetery. There are still a lot of leaves on the trees there, so with the bright sun and breeze it was quite a site.

Prayers for Pat Yardley who has been having a series of tests and surgeries this week. We have been a God send to each other for a lot of  years.

I was just informed by my daughter Lisa she is getting married this month, just a casual affair.

The Charlotte County SPCA annual Christmas Sale on Saturday, November 15th at the St. Stephen Legion from 5:30 to 1 pm (US)

Dinner guests of Dana and Margarita Altvater on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Young and son Roger and  their friend Lauarie from Eastport and Sharon Frost of Calais.
