Beal & Godfrey Capture 2.5-Mile Wins

These Calais boys earned second place for junior high boys at the Eastern Washington County Divisional Cross Country Meet held last week at Indian Township.  Teammates include (left to right), Connor Cook, Gavin Parks, Colby Carrier, and (missing from photo) Ethan Brown. Machias’ Jacob Godfrey earned a victory last week at Woodland on the 2.5-mile course beating his nearest competitor by 51-seconds. Clara Beal, also on the Machias team, ran the event in 18:27. As a team Machias also won both the boys and girls meets.
