Cobscook Community Learning Center to Offer Outdoor Adventure & Outdoor Explorer Camp

Are your kids looking for something fun to do this summer? Sign them up for Outdoor Adventure Camp for youth aged 7-12 and Outdoor Explorer Camp for ages 10-13 at the Cobscook Community Learning Center.

Campers participate in a wide variety of outdoor activities including swimming, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, geocaching, and more. Kids participate in instructional sessions in map and compass, fire building, wilderness survival skills, Leave-No-Trace principles, and first-aid in a small instruction group environment. Campers learn how to prepare how to gear up, dress right and be prepared outdoors with a mix of morning instruction and afternoon adventuring. Outdoor Adventure and Explorer Camps are for kids with a strong desire to learn and explore, who want to create new friendships, self-awareness and confidence, and have fun memories to last a lifetime!

Each session of camp runs  Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm. Explorer Camp includes an overnight on Thursday evening. Transportation is available from Machias.
