Tuesday the Woodland boys hosted the Machias Bulldogs and jumped to a 20-13 advantage after one frame. Toby Tomah and  Damon Lincoln at each hit 8-points in that opening period. The Dragons gained 3-more in the 2ND and closed the half out at 31-21. Machias made a run in the third but were never able to close the gap, ending 24-minutes of action 38-37. In the final stanza Machias was held to 6-points, while Lincoln and Tomah each hit 6 – taking the win 54-43. Wood with 15 and Anthony at 14 led the visitors, while Woodland had Lincoln 19, Tomah 18, and CJ Brown with 6-points.

The Dragons hosted Calais on Thursday and played well through the second period, closing down the half with just a 2-point deficit, 26-28. In the third Kyle Johnson lit-it-up pouring in 11-points, Andre Paul 7, and Horace Diffen 5, while holding their hosts to 9 for a 55-35 advantage. The Blue Devils powered on in the fourth for a 72-44 victory.  Lincoln at 13 and Toby with 12 led the Dragons offense. Calais had Johnson hitting 21, Andre Paul 17, Nathan Newell 12, Horace Diffen 9, and Cordell Hold 7. The Calais girls will makeup at Woodland in the evening of the 26.

The Shead boys took a solid 67-55 victory over the Royals from Jonesport-Beals High School. Will Urquhart paced the Tigers victory scoring 19-points, Ryan Eylar added 13 for the hosts.

A strong Shead Tigerette team defeated J-B easily 50-29 in Jonesport. The visitors win was led by Kristina Jamieson with 18-points and Dara Turner adding 7 in the 21-point win.
