On Saturday, I decided to take an early drive to Eastport. On the way I dropped by to say hello to Deane Jackson in Robbinston. I was able to get parked as I drove into Eastport. Streets were closed off. Music was playing, crafts were set up all around. Everyone was dressed festively as pirates. A perfect Sunday with a light breeze, lots of breakfasts being served around the town and the bakery was filled with customers enjoying their coffee and delights on the deck. Then It was time to visit Rosie’s hot dog stand. Out to the Dollar Store. I dropped into Gleason’s Cove. It was high tide and so beautiful. On the way home I attended Mrs. Quinn’s funeral service at the Perry church on Rt. 1 with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Stopped by a vegetable stand and onward I came.
