Arline Flood

We went to Grange on Wednesday night, opened up the Hall, put out the regalia and waited for the membership. Only Louise Lee and Justin Day showed up. After a while, we had a lunch and then went home to watch “Survivor.” We need 7 members to hold a legal meeting. The next regular Cathance Grange meeting will beheld on December 12th at 7 pm. This will be the Christmas program with a small gift exchange. It also will be the last meeting of the year. We will resume n March. One good thing was that there was a full moon over the Hill. I read that this moon is the farthest distance from the earth this year.

Much sympathy to the family of Ken Manship this past week.

Just a small group at the Meddybemps Christian Church on Sunday. Mostly because of the slick roads. The first Advent Candle was lit by Ricky and the reading was by his aunt, Dawn Winchester. Bible study will be on Sunday, December 16th at 9:30 am.

I was able to attend TOPS 256, Calais on Tuesday evening. There was 11 members present for roll call. A belated birthday card was presented to Tammy Seeley. Marcia Wheelock, the leader, gave a short program and Judy Townsend gave out the monthly best loser certificates. I wasn’t on it this month. Jeff Townsend earned the weekly basket and  Arline Flood the raffle. Afterwards some of the members went to Jo’s for dinner.

Don’t forget if you are an officer of Sherman Bros. there will be a Christmas party at The Don’s on Saturday at 12:00 noon.

Take the joy of Christmas with you everyday.
