The Baileyville Police Department was busy over the holiday week with accidents, arrests, criminal trespass and a theft.

On November 19 on duty officer was called to Route 9 for a car-deer accident. Catherine Wilcox, 49, of Alexander operating a 2012 Subaru Station Wagon struck a deer. The deer was pronounced deceased at the scene and the Subaru experienced significant damage.

On November 20 on duty officer was called to a Main Street residence were the owner of a vehicle reported that the air had been let out of his tires.

On November 21 on duty officer assisted Downeast Ambulance on a call to Second Avenue.

On November 21 on duty officer was called to Houlton Road where a resident reported that his hand gun had been stolen. The owner of the gun did not know exactly when it went missing nor the serial numbers. Police took report of theft.

On November 23, Craig Windsor, 27, of Baileyville was arrested for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief. This was an agency assist involving Maine State Police, Border Patrol and Baileyville police. Windsor was transported to Washington County Jail.

On November 23 a picnic table was moved from the park to the middle of Main Street.

On November 24 on duty officer was called to Third and Fourth Avenue where trucks were being operated on disputed property. This is a civil issue between two parties.

On November 25 a juvenile was summonsed on Main Street for possession of tobacco.

The Department also made eleven vehicle stops last week. 

Chief Donahue reminds residents to slow down through the first snow flakes, black ice and to be on the look out for deer!
