This week the rain was a help to the lakes and streams. Although water levels are still too low going into winter, the rain was appreciated. My well is only 25 feet deep and every drop of rain helps in this household.

Beckett Center News

Monday, Sept. 26, we had basketball skill drill practice and had horse class at Double T Farm in Perry.  

Tuesday, a few decided to go swimming at the Garcelon Civic Center in St. Stephen. In the afternoon, due to the beautiful weather, some went on a walk, and some played basketball.

Turkey-A-Thon Raises $30,340.36 for Food Pantries in Washington County

 On Friday, October 14, dozens of volunteers from schools, businesses and community organizations across Washington County spent the day (mostly) outdoors alongside employees from Classic Hits 92.7/95.3 FM Radio, Dunkin Donuts and Healthy Acadia, collecting donations for local food pantries during the 12th annual Turkey-A-Thon.

“Cut-Your-Own” Evergreen Trees at Moosehorn NWR

The Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge invites families in the area to cut their seasonal evergreen trees this year on the Baring or Edmunds Division of the Refuge. Each family may cut two evergreen trees for personal use. This activity will remove trees that are normally cut for road maintenance.
