Star Gazing and Perseid Meteor Showers at the Cobscook Community Learning Center

Join us for an evening of stargazing August 8th at the CCLC starting at 8:00pm. At this time of year we should be able to see the Perseid meteor shower, one of the brighter meteor showers of the year, which occurs every year between July 17 and August 24.

Portside Hand-Sewing Workshop to Yield Potholders

The Eastport Arts Center’s summer workshop series will continue from 1-3 pm, July 21, with “Quilted Nautical Potholders” with instructor Arlene Wren. Intended for participants age 10 and up, the workshop will cover the creation of a quilted pot holder using hand-sewing techniques.

Princeton Library Celebrates Historic Milestone

On Saturday, July 11 the Princeton Library celebrated an historic milestone. It was the renewal celebration of an addition and upgrades to the library building. After a year of planning and volunteers helping, the library welcomed all comers to view the improvements, enjoy home-baked party desserts, and take a book for a donation.
