Baileyville Police Report

The Baileyville Police Department answered 36 calls for service during the week from March 3, 2014 through March 9, 2014 including calls for accidents, a fire at Fulghum Fibers, well being checks, drug intelligent (2), harassment and civil assists.

Calais Police Report

We began the week with a theft complaint.  A subject reported a camera stolen from his parked vehicle while he was inside the Post Office.  The investigation continues.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report

February 28 – March 6, 2014

During this time the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 70 calls for service.  Seven bail checks were done by the deputies during this time.  Seven 911 hang up calls were received during this time. All 911 hang up calls require a response from a deputy.  Notable complaints are listed below:

Former Maine Senate President Kevin Raye on Friday morning became the first Republican candidate to file the certified nomination petitions necessary to be placed on the June Primary ballot.  A representative of the Raye campaign delivered the petitions to the Secretary of State’s office at 9:00 a.m.

CALAIS – Donna Kay Kelley, 51, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, March 16, 2014 at a hospital in Bangor.  Donna was born on July 26, 1962 to R.C. and Nancy (Wilcoxson) Collins in Columbus, Indiana where she spent her childhood.  She met Jim Kelley in Oklahoma and they were married March 17, 1979.
